Music for dance-loving, hysterical, sad nighthawks - that's how panik deluxe describes her music. Fitting, since her sound bridges the gap between electro and goth, industrial and pop. The 21-year-old, Viennese musician mixes dark extravagance, reminiscent of the Twilight soundtrack, with cynical indifference and expresses feelings of indiscriminate longing with her soundscapes. These emotions stem from a 5-month-long stay in the city of Dublin, Ireland which has welcomed her into a world of tenderness, exhilaration and chaos. The written songs are her musical undertaking of dealing with her Fernweh and love for Ireland, while struggling with the distressing situations she went through during her stay. »Satisfaction is the death of desire«. The music of panik deluxe is both sprawlingly dramatic, yet within the realms of minimalism and deafening without having to get loud.

The track is a balancing act between rage and control. Suited for an ill-tempered night out, the number dances itself into an angry trance. Siren-like background vocals segue into a spoken word rant. At this point panik deluxe is no longer to be fucked with: Tonight my veins are quicksilver / And my teeth gold.
